High-pressure tubingOur seamless high-pressure tubes are used for various high-pressure applications, not only for extremely high pressures, but also in corrosive atmospheres. The main applications. The main applications are chemical production processes, hydraulic installations, test benches as well as water-jet cutting facilities. The pressure medium can be a suitable liquid or gas.





In order to meet special requirements that are put on high-pressure tubes we have developed - in
cooperation with companies working in the field of high-pressure technology - specialty tubes which
are characterized by high yield and tensile strength in connection with a high elongation.
The pressure resistance is guaranteed by the very smooth ID-surface.
An autofrettage treatment prolongs the cycle fatigue behaviour. *)

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Our quality inspections include, for instance, examination of dimensions, technological tests, tensile testing,

metallographic examination, intergranular corrosion testing as well as eddy current and hydrostatic testing.

The scope of inspection depends on the customers' specification. The Sandvik P&P quality management system
is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 by LRQA, the environmental management system is certified according
to DIN EN ISO 14001 and the operational health and safety management according to OHSAS 18001.
Furthermore Sandvik P&P has the TÜV approval to as manufacturer according to AD-W0/TRD 100 and is certified
according to PED 97/23 EC.
The testing laboratory is accredited according to DIN EN ISO 17025.

Certificates
The tests carried out are set down in an inspection certificate to DIN EN 10204 3.1.
Reception tests to DIN EN 10204 3.2 by neutral experts can also be made on request.


Internal surface
Standard: Free from laps, flaws and fissures deeper than 0.1 mm, max. 5 defects >0.05 mm per cross-section.
On prior consultation depth of defects of max. 0.02 mm according to DIN ISO 8535-1 can be reached.


Lengths
Standard: random lengths of 4.0 - 7.0 m.
Other lengths on request.
Lengths up to 16.0 m - depending on dimension - can be produced.


Marking and packaging
According to cusomters' specification.


Special tests on request
Examinations in order to determine the cycle fatigue behaviour under defined operating conditions can be
carried out on request. We offer individual advice.


Sandvik HP160
HP1602 is a high-strength nitrogen-alloyed austenitic stainless steel with high corrosion resistance.

Corrosion resistance
Sandvik HP160 has a high corrosion resistance against corrosion in general as well as
intergranular corrosion due to his high purity. The high molybdenum content causes good
resistance against pitting and crevice corrosion.
