Textured surfaces

Our designers develop with modern technologies texture geometries. These are based on nature, graphical ideas or free designs which optically and tactile are realized according to the design and trend. Of course we also develop textures together with our customers according to their ideas and requirements.

In our Design Center we have the possibility of pressing developed textures on suitable decor papers (test pressing) to check them for their overall impression. Only developments corres-ponding to the market requirements or released by our customers go into production.

Smooth surfaces

Frequently special surface effects according to the design and the desired optical as well as tactile impressions are achieved, as ever, with smooth, specially treated surfaces.

Our standard finishes are:

• high polished
• matt polished
• fine ground
• matt-chrome plated
• mechanically mattedRoughne

Refurbishment of textured surfaces

Press plate surfaces which are worn, damaged or contaminated with pressing residues, can be refurbished in their „original condition“ by a special mechanical polishing method. This polishing method allows us to increase significantly the intervals between the required retexturing and the next retexturing compared with traditional electrolytic polishing.

Reproducibility

The developed textures can be exactly reproduced even after years. Press plates delivered subsequently are therefore identical in all properties with the first delivery.

Retexturing

Textures which no longer are in line with
the actual production programme of our customers, can be grinded down and the smooth surfaces can be new textured. The value of the basic material is thus maintained.

Degree of gloss

Textured and smooth surfaces obtain their individual characteristic appearance from the degree of gloss grade adjusted exactly to the natural pattern or the desired effect.

Materials

Hard chrome plating

To increase the lifetimes and improve the release properties, a highgrade hard chrome plating is applied to the finished textured or smooth surface.

Chrome plating thickness:

KT plates: 10-12 ” / on the working side /
back side

HPL plates: as a standard without
hardchrome plating, but on
request hard chrome plating on
both sides 10-12 ”

Drillings and lugs

For installation in the presses short-cycle press plates are provided with drillings or lugs as indicated by our customers.

Wear and transportation plates

For feeding of multi-opening HPL, particle and fibre board presses we manufacture wear and transportation plates with hooks as a part of the plate as well as separately added hooks, if required.
