Sandvik Durashift, Sandvik's latest wood bandsaw steel development, has higher tensile strength than other materials on the market and is very forgiving. At the same time, Sandvik Durashift has an extremely long run-time and can be swaged up to three times the blade thickness. The higher blade strain of Sandvik Durashift gives extra stability in the sawblade, reducing vibrations and crack formation.

Just like Sandvik Multishift, Sandvik Durashift maintains its shape during the whole shift, which ensures longer operation times than normal. To further increase wear resistance, the cutting edge can be tipped with a cobalt alloy. Thanks to the metallurgy of Sandvik Durashift, the weld joint and the joint between the tooth and blade are extremely strong.
