Knife steel

Annealed or cold-rolled knife steel in a wide range of stainless chromium steels delivered in coils or as straigthened lengths. Sandvik's knife steel is used for the production of, for example:

  • Knives
  • Cutting parts for electrical shavers
  • Pruning tools
  • Scissors
  • Skating blades

Sandvik's program of knife steel covers most requirements on material properties, which means that the most suitable knife steel for each application can be delivered. View mechanical properties for Sandvik's knife steels

Excellent blanking and hardening properties

Sandvik knife steels are characterized by fine microstructure and chemical composition within close tolerances. This results in excellent blanking and hardening properties, which facilitates trouble-free blade production and a high-quality end product.
