Knife steel

Annealed or cold-rolled knife steel in a wide range of stainless chromium steels delivered in coils or as straigthened lengths. Sandvik's knife steel is used for the production of, for example:

Sandvik 6C27	0.32	13.7		A common knife steel grade with good corrosion resistance and low hardness, mainly used in applications where the need for wear resistance is low.
Sandvik 7C27Mo2	0.38	13.5	Mo 1.0	Generally the same properties as Sandvik 6C27, but with improved corrosion resistance.
Sandvik 12C27	0.60	13.5		A knife steel with high hardness and good wear resistance.
Sandvik 12C27M	0.52	14.5		A knife steel grade with good wear resistance and good corrosion resistance, well suited for the manufacture of kitchen tools.
Sandvik 13C26	0.68	13.0		Generally the same properties as Sandvik 12C27, but with slightly higher hardness but less corrosion resistance.
Sandvik 14C28N	0.62	14.0	N 0.11	Generally the same properties as Sandvik 12C27, but with higher hardness and slightly better corrosion resistance.
Sandvik 19C27	0.95	13.5		A knife steel grade with very high hardness and wear resistance.
