Flat bed cutting rules

A comprehensive program of flat bed cutting rules for all types of carton and corrugated boards including coated, laminated, and recycled boards, as well as plastics, gasket materials and electronic components.

Sandvik flat bed cutting rules are characterized by their tight tolerances, which give a consistent product that enables repeatability from batch to batch on automated processing and bending machines.

Sandvik Dieflex was the world's first edge hardened cutting rule that combined the two contradictory requirements of good bendability and high wear resistance.

Product name Features
Sandvik Dieflex Evo

A self-leveling rule that moulds perfectly to accommodate high and low spots within the press. This drastically reduces the need for patch up, which enables converters to increase output and to make significant cost savings.

Sandvik Dieflex 52 The original 52° Dieflex is the most commonly used rule with its ideal combination of hardness and flexibility.
Sandvik Dieflex 42 All the benefits of the original 52° but the 42° angle requires less cutting pressure, gives a longer cutting life and reduces slivers and dust.
Sandvik Dieflex Brite An extremely sharp cutting edge and a bright mirror finish, make this product suitable for the most demanding substrates.
Sandvik Dieflex G12 The very fine ground edge requires less cutting pressure and reduces slivers and dust making. This makes Sandvik Dieflex G12 an ideal choice for cutting materials such as laminated board, fine plastics and other composite materials.
Sandvik Dieflex Hard A rule with all the Sandvik Dieflex features but with a body hardness of 400 HV.
Sandvik Dieflex Hard High With the same benefits as Sandvik Dieflex Hard, but designed for deep cutting applications such as plastic film for sandwich boxes and toy packaging.
Sandvik Dieflex Platinum Dieflex Platinum has an extremely hard surface coating which reduces friction and extends the life of the cutting edge.
Sandvik Dieflex Superbend Good bendability makes this rule particularly suitable for automatic bending machinery. It bends to an angle of 160°!
Sandvik Dieflex Ultra* Available with both 52° and 42° edge, its friction reducing coating on the cutting edge helps it remain sharper longer, gives make-ready advantages and reduces slivers and dust.
Sandvik DieHard A rule with a hard and stable body and with good bendability. Higher edge hardness makes it easier to cut difficult substrates.
Sandvik DieHard 700XD* Deeper edge hardening and a harder edge gives increased wear resistance
Sandvik DieHard Platinum DieHard Platinum has the same extremely hard surface coating as Dieflex Platinum, with a harder more stable body.
Sandvik DieHard Razor DieHard Razor has an extremely sharp cutting edge. The 30° edge angle makes it the sharpest rule in the Sandvik range, making it particularly suitable for cutting difficult materials.
Sandvik DieHard Xtreme This is a specialist rule for tough materials, such as PET. It has a hard, stable body, but is still bendable due to its unique microstructure.
Sandvik Vertex* Surface decarburization gives exceptional bendability. Its hard body achieves high wear resistance.
