Sandvik 28.34.HT (Welding wire)

Datasheet updated 2012-08-02 19:11:11 (supersedes all previous editions)

Sandvik 28.34.HT is an austenitic filler material for welding the high-temperature grade Sandvik 353 MA*. It is characterized by high creep strength, very good resistance to oxidation, very good resistance to carburization and good weldability. Sandvik 28.34.HT can also be used for joining other steels, when resistance to oxidation in air up to 1200°C (2190°F) is required. Sandvik 28.34.HT is available as wire and rods.

Recommended welding data

TIG welding

The parameters for TIG welding depend largely upon the base metal thickness and the welding application.

Electrode negative and a shielding gas of argon or helium should be used to prevent oxidation of the weld metal.
