Urea production

The Sandvik program includes products for several parts of the urea production process. We are, for example, a leading supplier of tubular products for piping systems and the high-pressure parts of the urea process. Sandvik tubes are typically used in the following equipment:

• Pool condensers
• Pool reactors
• Scrubbers
• Strippers

Since the 1970s, we have been leading the development of advanced stainless steels for the urea industry. Our research and development have resulted in materials with exceptionally low life-cycle cost in highly corrosive environments. Examples are Sandvik 2RE69 and Safurex, two tube materials developed especially for the severe conditions in the urea production process.

Sandvik also provides urea granulation systems.
