Bone drills
Sandvik provides stainless steel wire used by customers for the manufacturing of bone drills. For example, our program includes Sandvik Bioline 1RK91, a high-performing precipitation hardening stainless steel combining high strength with good ductility contributing to a strong and flexible end product.
We also undertake research and development of new and existing materials used for medical applications.

A martensitic stainless chromium steel with very good formability that after hardening and tempering is characterized by high corrosion resistance and toughness. |

A hardenable stainless chromium steel characterized by very good machinability. It has high hardness and high wear resistance after hardening. |
| Sandvik Bioline 1RK91 (UNS S46910) |
A precipitation hardening stainless steel specifically designed for applications requiring high strength combined with good ductility in the final product. |
| Sandvik Finemac |
A lead-free, hardenable, free-cutting carbon steel with excellent machinability. It has high hardness, high wear resistance and exceptional dimensional stability after hardening. |
